Having worked as an activity co-ordinator in a Dementia care home, I know how difficult it is to source good quality entertainment at a reasonable price, which is why I offer an introductory fee for your first singing session with me!

“I would love to give a big shout out to Rosie! What a wonderful and gifted singer with lots of empathy for our lovely residents. Rosie always makes time to talk to the residents and get to know them. She is really good at improvising and going with the flow of the residents and really enjoys dancing with them as well. I would highly recommend her.”

What do I offer for care homes?

a 60 minute set

This is the perfect amount of time to let everyone settle in and feel comfortable whilst still holding their attention! Don’t worry about wanderers or people needing to get in and out - I’m very used to it!

singing & dancing

I‘ll keep the music and chat flowing for the whole set and invite people to dance with me if they’d like. There’s no pressure! I’ve been known to be twirled around the room(!) but I love a seated boogie and wiggle or even a hand hold to help build a connection too.

a little bit of glam

I know the visuals are just as important as the actual music so I will always come looking a little glammed up! My heels are often a a talking point for the ladies of the group… and sometimes the chaps too!

  • I have a little battery powered speaker which I use to play my backing tracks. It doesn’t need to be plugged in so you can stick me wherever is most convenient without any cables trailing on the floor…

  • I tend to sing without a microphone for care homes as I’m loud enough without one. It also means I have a bit more control over the volume levels, I can move around the room more freely and my hands are free for dancing!

  • Because my set up is so quick, I’ll arrive around 15/20 minutes before I’m due to start. But don’t worry if things run behind! I am very used to going with the flow and would rather start a little late and have everyone there that wants to be than start on time and you not get the most from the session.

what to expect:

“Rosie has been coming to sing at Cedars now for over 10 years. My residents expect a high standard of singers and Rosie never disappoints. Rosie’s voice is just amazing and a firm favourite that reaches all ages. Families love listening to Rosie - young and old! If you’re looking for someone to make your day special, she certainly is the singer for you.”
